Welcome!

The aim of this forum is to encourage Sky fantasy football comments and discussion. Depending on how successful it is, the time I have and the feedback I receive, I may also make regular posts each week. We will see how it goes!

I have been playing the Sky game for the last few years now and been pretty successful (last 2 seasons top 1k, this season I am currently 350 with 23 transfers left – current team shown in picture).

I also play the main FPL game but this is very much secondary for me, although I have also been relatively successful (finishing top 100 last year – FPL ID: 59554)

Unlike FPL, there is almost nowhere to discuss the Sky game with other like minded addicts. Fantasy football scout is great for discussing FPL but its almost impossible to discuss Sky as the pages move so fast and most people play the FPL game.

So to get things rolling, lets hear from you! What problems do you currently have? How are you doing this season? What is your current rank? What are your captaincy plans this weekend?

Or anything else Sky related you would like to discuss🙂

Hi, thanks for starting this up. I’m about 13k atm. I’ve got the armband on Bolasie having got him in on Monday. Plan is to switch to either Sanchez or Kane on Sunday. Got no Everton coverage yet and bit worried about that. Current front 8 is Mahrez, Mane, KDB, Bolasie, Sanchez, Vardy & Kane. Whether to switch out Sanchez for Aguero or Lukaku ( or when) is my current dilemma

Hi Grafiddler, firstly thanks for being the blogs first comment!

The striker situation is really difficult at the moment, anyone one of them could fire. I did Kane > Sanchez at the weekend which fortunately paid off but Sanchez could easily do well over the next few.

Aguero is the one I am looking to get (although obviously Lukaku is also great option). I would go for Sanchez > Aguero but wait until next week. Ultimately, Aguero is the best player in the game and often gets those MOTM awards, he is also a great captaincy option over the next month or so.

Let me know how you get on!

          Haha I didn’t even notice!

I would usually advise 3-5-2 in Sky but this year there are just to many in form strikers!

    Current team is:
    Hart
    Nyom Dawson Bellerin
    Mane Mahrez Barkley Ali
    Lukaku(c) Sanchez Kun
    Team value: £74.9m

Swapping (C) to Sanchez on Sunday
Also thinking getting rid of Hart for Butland
    What you think?

Hi Dan welcome to the site!

Your team is looking very strong. I really like your midfield, I’m thinking about bringing Ali in myself. 4.0 is so cheap!

Can’t fault those moves. Hart is your week link and Sanchez has two great fixtures coming up and allows you a swap Saturday eve.

How’s your season going overall? Many transfers left?

I know and needed it to fund Kun!
It’s going well so far I’m 2nd in a money league

Only 8 transfers left though 😁

          Nice going!

If you only have 8 transfers I would definitely hold onto Hart. He’s not a bad shout, and you will need those transfers for injuries etc.

            Ok cheers for the feedback!

I made a lot of knee jerkey and silly transfers (sometimes when drunk also) haha

Will learn from it for next year

Good on you for creating the page. I’m sure many players will benefit from your advice and opinions and at the very least will enjoy having another place to go to read about the game.

I’ve been playing for four or five years now and have chaired a league at work for on average about 15 players. We chose Sky’s game over FPL due to its simplicity and the reduced amount involvement required to play. It’s encouraged most of our players to keep active and playing in the knowledge that you could have a weekend like the infamous one recently where an Aguero and Sanchez captaincy combination brought almost 100 points on their own, so there’s always the chance of shooting up the table – and therefore earning a few quid. We’ve had good fun over the years.

Currently I’m sitting with 23 transfers left and my team is Cech; Cathcart, Nyom, Van Dijk; Toure, Ozil, Drinkwater, De Bruyne; Aguero, Ighalo, Sanchez.

Good luck with the blog and look forward to reading your views and other players over the weeks ahead.

Hi Andrew, thanks for the support.

Sky game is great in that respect, you can take a back seat and still do OK, while also giving more serious players the chance to make gains by keeping a close eye on fixtures and captaincy strategy.

Your team looks in good shape, I especially like the Ozil pick, I have been wanting him for a while!

Look forward to seeing you around and hearing your views

hi will good luck with your new blog with respect to your forthcoming article about Christmas captaincy does this period vastly differ from the normal week to week captaincy?

Hi David, thanks for the message. The captaincy rules stay the same (one change per week). The difference is that over Christmas there are so many games with teams sometimes playing two matches in a week. With a bit of careful panning you could have 3 captains (or possibly even 4 if your willing to spend transfers) in one week.
