Pick of the week GW18

Each week I’ll be doing a quick post on 1 player that I’m considering bringing into my team, and give a brief breakdown of why I think they are a good pick.

With several heavy hitters primed to deliver some monster hauls over the coming months, I’m looking to a certain young spurs mid that is taking this season by storm.

Dele Alli

The big factor here is price, at 4.0 Ali is an absolute steal. He also looks a sure starter under Pochetino, although he didn’t play last game because he was suspended, he has started every other league game since mid September.

Throw in to the mix 2 goals, 1 assist, 2 MOTM awards, 3 tackle bonus’s and its clear Alli was built for the Sky game (not to mention his international debut goal). Getting in bargains like this enables your team to be flexible and react to form players whatever their price. If I bring Alli in, I can easily afford the likes of Ozil, Aguero and Silva over the coming months.

Who’s your pick of the week? Let me know in the comments bellow!

Well my pick this week is Ozil – another great Sky player. Have wanted him for ages and Sanchez injury and lack of surety about Aguero as a replacement now gives me the chance to revert back to a 3-5-2

Ozil is a great option at the moment. I’ll probably be bringing him in over the next couple of weeks. 3-5-2 is also the best formation in Sky, so you can’t go wrong with that move!

Hi Dan, Looks like you’re set for the next few weeks. Let’s both hope that Kane and Lukaku can deliver!

Do you have any transfer plans this week?

No content at the moment but if mane doesn’t start pulling in points I might have to swap to de bruyne

Good to hear. Mane will probably be leaving my team after Saturday’s game, hoping he can give me a parting gift!

My original transfer plan has gone up in smoke😦

    Sanchez (c) to Aguero (c) now needs a modification…

Initial thoughts are to get a holding player (Barkley?) then plan Ayew to Aguero when he is fully fit, the other option is to go with Sturridge as a straight replacement…

    Arghh!!

Sturridge is a risk, but a potentially brilliant one that could pay off. I would be inclined to roll the dice on him.

Barkley option is also a solid plan though

      Good luck!

Might wait and see on Liverpool team tomorrow then decide. Downside of going with Barkley is only 1 captain this week.

Well that go to well, I couldn’t go for Barkley as I was 0.1 short for Ayew to Aguero later on. My mate at work told me to put in Mahrez and I ignored very sound advice! Opted for Benteke in the end after seeing the teamsheets😦

Ouch. Benteke was a gamble, you are going to have to hope he starts the next few after Liverpool’s performance!

As soon as Aguero is fit he’ll be back in. Short term measure to cover for Sanchez. Hopefully not too many similar mistakes further on!
