Weekend Review gw33

Most people must have similar teams and captains, as a healthy score of 89 only saw me move up a few places. Kane doing most of the damage, as he brought home an impressive 40 point haul.

Fabregas pain

Fabregas suddenly decided that he has a goal threat and is on penalties. His 2 goal haul combined with a (somewhat unfortunate) 1 pointer from Sigurdsson made my Fabregas > Sigurdsson trade a couple of weeks ago look pretty foolish. You can’t win them all!

Kane Kunundrum

Looking slightly further ahead, I had pencilled in to ship Kane out for Lukaku on Sunday 3rd April. This would give Lukaku 3 extra fixtures until the end of the season. But with Kane is in red hot form, he looks undroppable. This could leave Vardy or possible even Aguero to make way for the big belgium. Either way, there’s going to be some tough decisions over the next few weeks.

SFFF League

My 89 was only good enough for 20th place this week as some big scores came in. 7 teams scored a ton, with Martin Felton’s team Real OGz hitting 110! You can sign up to the league here

Upcoming posts

I have looked at the fixtures and come up with a rough plan for the hectic upcoming schedule. A post looking a captain and transfer decisions over the next few weeks will be released soon.

    84 for me.
    17 TFs left.
Only one deadweight – Cathcart (should have swapped for Simpson!)
Will be looking to make a plan for captain organistation 🙂

Interesting thanks. Looks like you have a similar captain strategy to me, certainly over the first few weeks.

Big decision will be whether to drop Kane or Vardy for Lukaku on the 3rd/9th April. Vardy will have an extra fixture and gives more flexibility later down the line because of his price, but not sure if Kane can be dropped at the moment.

Your extra transfers could really pay off in maximizing those captains towards the end!

Could bring in Cresswell for VVD on April 17th.

WHU versus lei, WAT, wba, SWA, MUN, sto
SOT versus avl, MCI, tot, cpl

Might need to do a second draft – Everton’s trip to Palace rescheduled for Wednesday April 13.

I like the cresswell option, one I’m looking at myself. Wanted Bellerin but can’t afford him unless I go without Kane

That looks very strong, some great captains in there. I didn’t actually realise that the penultimate gameweek fixtures could will change, nice spot.

Im looking at ditching Kane early and getting him back in as captain for the WBA match. I’ll hopefully get the full article out early next week but I’ll put a link to my spreadsheet on here over the weekend.

Looks pretty decent to me. Up to the penultimate week you have 64 players with 13 captains. I have 70 players with 12 captains.

I have included your team in my spreadsheet:

My team has been updated with Simpson coming in for Catchart on Sunday and Cresswell for VVD on April 17th. I have also gone with Costa captain on May 2nd rather than Aguero the day before, as Chelsea have the extra fixture to follow.

Currently looking at Couthino, Payet, Sturridge and Rooney for the final week: fitness, form and fixtures depending.

Oh nice, thats useful cheers Ian.

You definitely have more flexibility with the extra trades. Don’t think I could justify bringing Barkley and Lennon in just for the short term.

You not tempted by an Arsenal defender? Seem to have a few mil in bank at all times?

              Good idea.

I could just do VVD to Bellerin week, and forget all about Cresswell.

Made a couple of additional changes. Bringing in Elliot instead of Adrian gives me the opportunity to have 6 games of Firmino in place of 3 from Mahrez. Will post the link on the latest thread.
