ALL SET gw 28

A potentially good week was spoiled by Fabregas being 3 passes off passing bonus, 1 tackle away from tackling bonus and being robbed of an assist for Costa’s goal. This coupled with Ozil getting a haul (as I thought he might) meant a small fall in rank. Still, I think my team is in decent shape overall and is pretty set for the weekend ahead.

Transfers

Lukaku to Vardy will be made on Saturday evening as Lukaku has a blank next week and Vardy has great fixtures after Arsenal. Dawson’s potential injury and poor fixtures mean that I may also trade him out for the in form Fuchs. Fuchs is part is part of an impressive Leicester defence, has great fixtures and also the potential to pick up assists and bonus.

Captain strategy

Im resisting the urge to over think this and just go Fabregas to Aguero for my captain switch. Remember you can have anyone captain on Sunday given that there are no premier league games next week.

Blank weeks coming up

This can get confusing with lots of permutations but here is what we do know:

  • Gameweek 30 (28th Feb), Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle & Man City will not play.
  • Gameweek 30 is also a double gameweek in Sky with all teams playing twice apart from the above.
  • Gameweek 32 (12th March) there will likely be a lot of fixtures postponed with only Leicester vs. Newcastle and Stoke vs. Southampton definitely going ahead.
  • Although the odds have changed since, this is an excellent article to get an idea of which teams are more likely to have a blank that week.

What does this mean for my trades?

Well its probably a good idea not to take out players from Newcastle, Stoke, Southampton and Leicester. Given Leicester’s and Southampton’s favourable fixtures and form they are certainly worth bringing in. I would add that you should not avoid getting players in just because they have a blank (or a chance of a blank). If you believe them to be a good pick bring them in, but the blank should still be a factor in your decision.

Good luck for the weekend!

Looks to me that if Man City and Everton qualify for FA Cup QFs, plus another if either reach the SFs, they will have 7 or 8 matches to everyone else’s 5 in the last weeks of the season.

      Is that right?

Can see many double/triple up opportunities to make use of these transfers 🙂

Great score this week. Some will have 5, most will have 6, a few will have 7 or possibly 8 (i think). Could make good use of those trades!

Have 8 players in today’s pair of table topping matches, with only a single defender. Let’s hope for a goal-fest!

    50 points this week:

    Hennessey, Wayne 0
    Fuchs, Christian -1
    Cathcart, Craig 1
    van Dijk, Virgil 12
    Ramsey, Aaron 3
    Alli, Dele 2
    Ozil, Mesut 7
    Mahrez, Riyad 2
    Aguero, Sergio 2
    Kane, Harry 7
    Vardy, Jamie (c) 14

2.5M ITB and 19 Transfers left.

Early plan is to keep the armband on Vardy for NOR/WBA then switch to Aguero for liv/AVL.

Really want to swap Hennessy out too, but is is worth using a TF for a keeper?

If I had 19 trades left I think it is but CP do have some decent fixtures coming up and looked to have their mojo back against Watford even though they lost
